Recommended FrameContemporary Gloss Black Frame Size: 26 x 26 ins Jurek Nems was born in communist Poland in 1958, the year of the Iron Curtain and the first Russian Sputnik of the Space Age. He survived school and the Cold War and, between 1976 and 1986, he studied architecture in Warsaw. He settled in London in 1990 and made a living painting watercolours, before moving to the South of France in 1994 with his English wife, Francesca. In the South of France he has restored an old farmhouse in the middle of lavender fields and is the proud father of three young boys, and the boss of three dogs and a fat grey cat.
