I Davidi a fine artist, who executes his work with such exquisite brushwork, is unfortunately totally mysterious and indeed, to us, androgynous! This image was discovered in South America by an Englishman, who was most impressed by the charm and accomplishment evident in the work but deeply baffled by the origins or details of the artist, who appears in no reference guides. Davidi may have been a well-known artist masquerading under an alias in order to avoid paying his gallery's commissions on the sale of his work. On the other hand, he may not!
